Calculator Activities


This week Primary 3/4 have been learning how to use the calculator in Maths. We having been learning how to do +,-,x sums.








Today we used our skills to do a number of problem solving activities.

Task 1


Task 1
You will need a calculator and a pencil and some paper.
You may only use these buttons:
2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9  +  -  =
Can you show 10 on the calculator? Write down how you did it.
Find lots of different ways you can make 10. Write them all down.

Some of the answers;

Task 2

Your calculator has a busted 6 button.

Find 5 ways for making the answer 66.

The class went on do some code breaking activities using the calculator to make words.
